Admission Procedure

Sree Chaitanya Institute of Technological Sciences follows the admission guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana, TGCHE, and the respective entrance test conveners for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES (B.TECH)

Sree Chaitanya Institute of Technological Sciences follows the admission guidelines issued by the Government of Telangana, TGCHE, and the respective entrance test conveners for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Admission to the First year of 4-year B.Tech Programme in Engineering and Technology

The admission into undergraduate programmes (B.Tech) for all the branches of study are made as per the relevant Rules of the Govt. and norms/guidelines of the Telangana Council of Higher Education:

  • 70% of seats i.e., ”Category-A” (Convenor Quota) seats (based on the rank obtained in state level entrance examination-TGEAPCET) will be filled by the Convener, TGEAPCET.
  • 30% of seats i.e., ”Category-B” seats will be filled by the management as per the relevant rules of the State Govt. and guidelines of the Telangana Council of Higher Education issued from time to time.

Spot Admission Procedure for B.Tech:

  • The Convenor office, TGEAPCET will release notification related to filling the vacancy seats in the institute.
  • Procedure: The College issues an advertisement after notification release. The institute will fill these seats as per the guidelines issued by the Convener, TGEAPCET.

Admission Procedure for B.Tech under FN/OCI/CIWG (Supernumerary Seats):

  • As per the guidelines of GO.Ms.No:49 and circulars issued by AICTE, the supernumerary seats will be filled under Foreign Nationals(FN)/Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI)/ Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG).
  • All admissions under this category are subject to approval of competent authorities.

Admission to the second year of 4-year B.Tech Undergraduate (Lateral Entry) Programme in Engineering

  • Seats up to 10% of the sanctioned intake of each programme of undergraduate course shall be filled by the Convenor, TGECET as lateral entry admission into second year of B.Tech programme based on the merit ranks obtained by the students in TGECET (State Level Common Entrance Test).
  • Spot Admission Procedure for B.Tech Lateral Entry:
    • Admission will be made based on the guidelines issued by the Convener TGECET.
    • Procedure: The College issues an advertisement after necessary approval. The spot admissions will be made according to the guidelines from time to time issued from by the Convener TGECET. All admissions made at institute level (Spot Admissions) are subject to approval of competent authorities.

POST GRADUATE ADMISSION (PG)

The admission into Postgraduate programmes M.Tech for all the specializations & MBA are made as per the rules of the Telangana Council of Higher Education(TGCHE).

  • Admission to the M.Tech & MCA Two year Post Graduate Programme
    • 70% seats i.e., “Category-A” seats (based on the rank obtained in state level entrance examination-TGPGECET and GATE for M.Tech & TGICET for MCA) will be filled by the Convener.
    • 30% seats i.e., “Category-B seats” will be filled by the management as per the Rules issued by the Government and guidelines from time to time issued by the TGCHE.
    • All admissions made at institute level (Spot Admissions and Category-B) are subject to approval of competent authorities.
  • Spot Admission Procedure for M.TECH & MBA
    • The Convenor office, TGPGECET & TGICET will release notification related to filling the vacancy seats in the institute.
    • Procedure: The College issues an advertisement after notification release. The institute will fill these seats as per the guidelines issued by the Convener, TGPGECET & TGICET.
